At The Stars of Summer, we believe that music has no age limit. That's why our competition is open to young musicians as young as 5 years old, all the way up to adults aged 21 and over. We've had some truly remarkable participants over the years, and it's always inspiring to see the range of ages and levels of experience represented.
One of our most notable young participants was Lyman Chi, a 5-year-old pianist from Cleveland, OH, who won 2nd place in the World Composers category in 2022. We were blown away by his talent and can't wait to see what he accomplishes in the future.
But it's not just the young musicians who impress us. We've had participants in their 40s, 50s, and even 60s who have wowed us with their vocal abilities. In fact, we had a 50-year-old vocalist back in 2021 who was thrilled to perform in front of a live audience and received a warm reception from the crowd.
This year, we're excited to welcome more rock vocalists to the competition and want to emphasize that age doesn't matter when it comes to music. Whether you're 5 or 55, if you have a passion for music and a desire to perform, we encourage you to submit an entry and show us what you've got!
The Stars of Summer competition is a celebration of talent and creativity, and we welcome all ages to participate. Don't miss your chance to showcase your skills and potentially earn an invitation to other prestigious competitions and venues around the world.
